Chris Rainey
On Saturday afternoon the Gators continued their recent dominance over Tennessee with a 33-23 victory. It’s the 7th consecutive time the Gators have defeated the Vols. The Gators were led by running back Chris Rainey. Rainey had 108 yards rushing, 104 yards receiving with a touchdown, and blocked a punt on special teams. The Gator run defense was stout allowing -9 total rushing yards to the Vols. Questions still remain in the young Gator secondary, but we will find out more in the coming weeks. The Gators improved to 3-0 (1-0) in the SEC. Next game for the Gators is on the road against Kentucky, Saturday night at 7 p.m. on ESPN. Go Gators!
